What's Bugging Me?

Well I like to put things in easy to comprehend list so when I try to sort out through this jumbled mess I call my Mind, I can sort of figure out this mess from another, like sorting through laundry from the whites and coloured ones, those needed to be pressed and those needed to be hanged...to make up for my lack of mind-mapping skill, I found using phone applications such as Color Note which is always helpful... there are thousands of different things nagging in my head but these few things are really bugging me:-

1- the kids morals today? seriously? 12 years old girl can give consent to sex? what's wrong with this world..(i just finished hearing a juvenile under age statutory rape cases and it really, really pisses me off.. ) ada yang consensual and ada yang paksa rela...seriously how could the child of 12 y/o have enough sense to give consent to having intercourse...? although i cannot judge the moral of 12 y/o nowadays to my standard of 12 y/o from my youth, still the thought that a child can be wholly corrupted by early exposure to the Big Bad World..is unthinkable..what will happen to our future generation?the thing that will inevitably follow suit will be the world is filled with people with no moral upstanding whatsoever and no sense of right and wrong, because for them  "It's Their Right.... "

2- the ever increasing land and property value...how can I ever afford to live comfortably when all I do is sinking myself in more and more debt...? not everyone is born lucky with rich parents/family to support them, if needed...not that i expect a handover from my folks or anything but, what hope can a fixed income worker have in this economy?all we can do is just to  get by, month by dismal month...

3- credit cards payments...ugh! 'nuff said...

4- buat i/c baru...the old one was at least 10 y/o dah...it's in pretty bad shape and the chips don't seem to be working anymore...a drag for bank's transaction...but i never find the time (..and/or inclination to go to JPN)

5- to have an organised household chore system :( (i just probably need to get a bit more enthusiastic about chore...i do have moods for them.. :) )

6- stupid parking...

that's all...do i need to contemplate more on doing or do i have to Just Do It?

Final Week of Fasting 2013

it's about time...i was lazy lately to write anything..something that got to do with fasting and sleepy and etc...hehe...this is my first year fasting in Selayang...i don't think it's bad, but i don't think it's that great either...then last week i went back to Bentong to...how do you say it...is it break fast? or breaking fast? ..nevermind ..u get my point...to buka puasa...and i seriously get all reminiscence and everything...it's nice to go back there..where i knew people and they knew me, and going to familiar places...although i\ve been there for just over a year...but i guess i adapted to life there...even my hubby misses it there...not as much as he misses Kota Bharu though...

times like these (about the final week of fasting), that i really am homesick...i found myself searching for my home on google  maps, imagining arriving there already, minus the 7-8hrs tiring journey and being with my family...man, it's been a long time since i gone home...i think the last time was on CNY? that's in February...more'n 5 moths passed...ok so i'll stop whining just about now and attend to my duties...

EDITS:- last time i went back was on June or is it May Election?...OMG I only think 5 months passed, but really it's only been 2 months over...i should probably stay in Selayang more....

Bonus Oh Bonus Raya...

Hi all,

Cakap pasal bonus semua orang mesti senyum gembira...tapi kali ni lain pulak ceritanya..semalam saya tengok berita PM kita cakap bonus raya kakitangan awam masih dalam pertimbangan...seriously? kita dah puasa dekat 2 minggu dah tapi masih dalam pertimbangan? kalau macam ni la gayanya kemungkinan besar takde rezeki la kut penjawat awam nak merasa bonus raya bagi tahun 2013 ni..

Sedih dan kecewa pun ada, walaupun bonus raya ni bukanlah wajib, tapi sekurang-kurangnya kalau ada bantuan ni dapatlah mengurangkan beban belanja untuk raya..dah nama nak raya mesti ada persiapan kena buat, tak besar-besaran, buat secara ala kadar. kami ni walaupun nama pegawai sekalipun, bukan gaji macam menteri-menteri..mungkin sebab tu pemimpin-pemimpin kita takleh faham kesusahan dan kesempitan kita...zaman diorang muda dulu mungkin RM 10 tu dah boleh beli macam-macam...kalau zaman sekarang, 1-2 barang dah RM10...kalau setakat pendapatan isi rumah RM3000-RM4000 tu duduk kat KL atau pinggir KL, saya kira masih tergolong dalam golongan miskin bandar...kami bukan gaji puluh-puluh ribu...

Semakin kos hidup meningkat, semakin terasa sekiranya pegawai-pegawai kerajaan (tak tahu lah jabatan saya je ke, semua jabatan lain pun sama) ni diabaikan kebajikannya...sudahlah ditransfer selang setahun, claim bukan main susah nak approve (siap tak percaya my hubby ikut pindah), pastu tak sediakan kuarters pulak tu (kelam kabut cari rumah sewa dalam masa seminggu)...bukan nak cakap tak bersyukur ada peluang naik pangkat, tapi rasa macam tak boleh nak settle down kat mana-mana..kami pun ada jugak rasa nak duduk dengan tenang kat satu-satu tempat tanpa hidup dalam kelam-kabut dan tak secure apabila kami bila-bila masa sahaja boleh ditukarkan ke sana sini...nak beli rumah pun berbelah-bahagi...and walaupun boleh claim pindah, betapa penatnya proses berpindah selang setahun tuhan je yang tahu...kalau tak ada orang tolong boleh pengsan...

Tapi apepun, dah off topic...i dont think people want to read my endless rambling :) on a brighter note..HERE'S HOPING DUE CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN BY PM'S GOVT TO APPROVE THIS RAYA AIDILFITRI'S 2013 BONUS TO BE GIVEN TO THE GOVT SERVANTS WHO HAD SERVE THE PUBLIC SELFLESSLY AND WITH DEDICATION. TQ

P/S: tiada niat/male fide untuk memalukan mana-mana pihak cuma ingin berkongsi dilema yang dialami..

Fingers Crossed :)

The House Hunt...

OMG..I cannot believe how hard it is to find a decent house in Selayang that is within my price range...I started with below 150k, then up my range to 200k, but still cannot find a suitable house in that range...most of two storey/townhouses average about 300k to 700k...I didn't include apartments on my original search list, but looking at the rate this search is going I might have to include apartments into consideration...

Seriously, why is everything so expensive...? and the government housing projects only focus to those wages below 3k/month...there are lots of 'poor urbans' that have only slightly higher average income and still struggling to make end meets...what with the PTPTN loans and various other loans to stay afloat in the Klang Valley...even apartment rent are high these days...i had to fork out about RM750 for rent monthly and we're talking about moderate budget apartment, not some upscale apartment...

When people advised me to look for property in Rawang, I initially fall in with the idea and had searched and viewed several property there, but along the way I realised it is a bit far from the office and I'm not the  kind of person that can make half hour to 45mins journey to and fro everyday...so I balked...and haven't made any decisions until today..And I viewed several properties in Selayang that are within my price range only to find that the properties had deteriorated and need a lot of restoration, although it's a great investment piece, I actually need a home to live in, not just for investment.

so today, i have another viewing, this time for apartment unit as I strive to broaden my horizon and embrace the fact that for now, I don't have another option but to close my eyes and decide....

Killing Time

Alright then,

I have an hour left before punching out for the day...although there's millions of stuff screaming for attention on my desk, i just sigh and procrastinate, again...(OMG i hope my boss doesn't read blogs)...

my desk view..sigh...

hmm...usually i play online games, but i try to cut down the hour after noticing it's detrimental to my wallet or more aptly, to my credit cards...sure the games are addictive and you wouldn't even spend a cent..except that...the add-ons are really TEMPTING....damn...if u want a more economy-saving game, try sudoku in the newspaper...

updating my handphone is a fun way to kill time, although sometimes the internet charges will be through the roof. as if i'm being ripped off, but that doesn't happen after i set a limit...then i'll have a reason to yell at them if i ever exceeded limit without noticing..although i rarely yell at people...except to my other half... :P

other avenues are surfing the net, mainly chatting with my friends on FB, searching/window shopping for cars and properties on mudah.com.my and iproperty.com and online clothing store although, i tend to steer clear from wardrobe shopping for these past month after realising there's packages arriving for me every other day..the thing is the packages arrives at the office. :D

after all these times i shied away from blogging, now it has becoming one of my favourite time-killing app :) not only it helps with the time-killing, but it also alleviate stress, nerves and anxiety by sharing my thoughts and my pandering with rest of the world. Although nobody might ever read my writings for all i know, but hey, doesn't matter...as long as i have fun, right?...

Kemeriahan Ramadhan

Hai Kawan-kawan and Readers,

Emas dan Perak Cantik Ditempa,
Disulam Pula Dengan Suasa,
Bulan Ramadhan Sudah Menjelma,
Menahan Lapar Adat Berpuasa.

Dah masuk bulan puasa ni, terasa kemeriahannya bila tiba waktu nak berbuka.

Lepas tu balik la berbuka puasa berdua kat rumah. Sedih je buka puasa berdua.(tapi 2 is better than 1 kan? :D) Teringat kalau buka puasa kat rumah ma. Time adik beradik semua duduk rumah lagi. Kami 7 beradik, jadi dapat bayangkan la betapa riuhnya time berkumpul. Jarang la tujuh-tujuh orang ada kat rumah sekaligus, kecuali musim raya masa semua belum kawin jela...Lepas semua dah besar ni, kadang-kadang raya pun tak sempat jumpa. Kekadang bertanya kabar kat FB je.

Ni yang rasa nak balik Kelate ni...berbalik kepada isu kemeriahan bulan puasa, takleh lari la dari cerita tentang makanan...heheheee..favourite ni...sebab kita dah sehari menahan nafsu makan, akan jadi excited la time nak beli makanan buka puasa. Kalau yang jenis wasatiah tu, mungkin mampu menahan nafsu membeli makanan buka puasa berlebihan. tapi bulan puasa ni memang mencabar keimanan la. dengan ayam percik nya, dengan pelbagai lauk pauk, nasi briyani dan tak lupa, ayam golek. tu tak sebut dessert lagi...kalau kat kelantan ...dengan jala mas nya, bunga tanjung nya, puding caramel nya (skrg ni dah pandai buat sendiri...yeay!)...arghhh..dah terbayang semua di depan mata..MANA AKU NAK CARI JALA MAS KAT SELAYANG NI?....

Selalunya my mom akan masak special-special time buka puasa. tu part paling seronok..my favourite is ikan terubuk bakar!! wawawawaa...walaupun ikan ni banyak tulang dan terhegeh-hegeh kalau nak makan, adus sedapnya...makan ngan kicap+bawang perah limau nipis lagi sedap...kalau makan ikan terubuk ni terseksa betul time nak sahur la..ngan mengantuk-mengantuk tu, nak belek isi ikan buang tulang...hehehe...nasib tak baik boleh tercekik...

aaahhh..ajak my hubby balik kelate jugakla hujung minggu ni....owh..and by the way THE RED WARRIORS MENANG PIALA FA!WOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Road to FA Cup Finals 2013..Gomo Kelate Gomo!!

Peace to All Homo Sapiens,

Although the title is definately in Kelantanese Malay...this post will be written in English...it's funny to think back of my aversion to football, or what the American refer to as soccer. i don't watch it, i don't know anything about it... some of my dearest friends watch football for the hot guys...all sweaty and sexy..but i don't...nothing can tempt me to watch even if they ran around naked on the field...

it's not just football come to think about it..it's sports in general...and football in particular...at one time, i was in the second interview for PTD before i entered service, i was asked to do public speaking on sports and i just blanked out..it was so unfair...because i could talk just about anything else besides sports...and as i predicted i didn't get to join PTD...i guess my luck is somewhere else...

back to the issue of football, after being married, of course i was forced to watch the odd game or two and somehow, i now can bear watching football, if only for just the 1st game..(no re-runs) and only if it's good..but i am intrigued by how the football sport in Malaysia seems like making a comeback..a lot of team is getting better and garnering more supporters...like Pahang, JDT, ATM and of course The Red Warriors...The last semi final match for FA cup the supporters were overflowing into the field and the match was rescheduled and it shows that there's a lot of football fans out there...where have they been say 8-10 years ago? i seem to remember the football stadiums and matches only a smattering of people came to watch..but now the tickets for the FA cup finals had SOLD out after 10 minutes of sale opening...

this is indeed a great era for footballers...where they're celebrated, getting higly paid, earning celebrity status...and marrying celebrities of course...

And although i'm not at all enamoured of the idea of going to the Final Game this 29th June 2013, i do have to go with my husband..well, for moral support and to share his 'thing' when i expect him to come with me to watch the next hunger games movie :P... ohh the sacrifice of a wife....

well, that's all for now..it's nearly 5.00 p.m and i leave work on the dot! ciao!

Favourite English Paperback Novels (Mills&Boon, Harlequin and Barbara Cartland)

Hi All,

Now, my mother is the sole influence for my interest in reading romance novels. i started out with Mills & Boon's novels to Barbara Cartland novels since i was 14 or 15 then i started on the thicker novels when i entered college..who could blame me...? my moms book collection is bigger than her closet...i seem to remember her reading by the window in the late afternoon..my mom still loves novel but she seem to divide her reading and watching telenovelas nowadays...:) but her passion for reading had been passed to me. although i graduated to heavier stuffs, the heady delight of doing nothing and losing yourself in short romance novels will always stay in my mind...

Here are amongst a few of the novels that i had read repeatedly throughout the years:

1. A Durable Fire by Robyn Donald (brother's love triangle..very scandalous...and Tini, my friend said the hero was cruel..but i like bad boys :) )

2. Born Out of Love by Anne Mathers (about second chances...)

3. Pagan Encounter by Charlotte Lamb (Amongst my absolute favourite although Tini also says the hero is cruel :) ) lost a few pages of this book but i uploaded the whole novel online and now i have the complete version..

4. Bid For Independence by Yvonne Whittal (Internal conflict...brotherly love gone wild!)

5. Enter My Jungle by LindsayArmstrong (the hero's a barrister :) and the heroaine was his maid...)

6. The Tears of Love by Barbara Cartland (i somehow managed to lose this title and been searching for this novel eversince and it's been a frustrating search because i couldn't seem to find it and the only one resold is on Amazon and they don't courier to Malaysia!)...i love the story because the female is smart and confident, unlike most of the timid heroaine in Barbara Cartland novels. If somebody have a copy of this novel, please, please, please send me... and i don't mean the spanish version [BECAUSE I DON'T READ SPANISH, COMPRENDE?...]

..and a few other which i couldn't remember because it's all back home and i have to wait until Raya to switch my novels with Mom's...I love that i just have to go back home to Mom's to get a book that i want...

***for those who wants to find the novels i posted about, its available online. you'll probably have no luck in  finding the hard copy. those titles probably had stopped printing years ago. the best you could do is downloading it via 4shared.com or scribd.com...

..and here are the list of some Mills & Boon Bestseller Romance that you can HUNT for online...and if you give up and wants a copy, just email me your email address @ nana_lynzie@yahoo.com...

Anne Mather's Novels:-

1. Smokescreen
2. Spirit of Atlantis

Robyn Donald : Mission For My Love

Charlotte Lamb's Novels:-
1. Temptation
2. Dark Master
3. Savage Surrender
4. Who's been sleeping in my bed?
5. Sensation

Carole Mortimer's Perfect Partner

HAPPY HUNTING!

Life's Update

For those who knows me and for those who cares, i had already been transferred since the last time i posted about my previous transfers...it started with a transfer order..massive transfer orders...ugh..i hate moving, again, when i had to move after only over a year at one place...again... i was just beginning to like living in Bentong...now i had been living in Batu Caves after my transfer to Mahkamah Selayang.. (and into the Lembah (Klang)..where dreams died...ahahahaa...)...i'm thinking of buying a house here, but who know how long i have here, so, what's the  rush?..

i hate, hate, hate moving! and it's so unfair!

Senarai Novel English Bacaanku - setakat Jun 2013 Part 1

A must read! saya selalunya sukakan genre Romance namun novel-novel ini terlalu menarik untuk diabaikan.

4. The Best of Me oleh Nicholas Sparks - sebuah lagi novel cinta dari Nicholas Sparks. tapi saya geram kalau baca novel Nicholas Sparks ni mesti novel cinta yang sedih. kalau tak hero, heroin yang mati...huhuhuhu....paling sedihnya cerita A Walk to Remember la..yang diadaptasi jadi movie, tapi novel dia memang lagi sedih dari movie. The Best of Me ni pasal Amanda Collier dan Dawson Cole yang masa remaja melalui zaman cinta monyet. tapi setelah 25 tahun berpisah, dan ada kehidupan sendiri, mereka bertemu semula..dan kenangan lama menjelma...

6. The Duke is Mine oleh Eloisa James - saya tak biasa baca penulisan novelis ini tapi terpanggil untuk order buku ni sebab masuk bestseller list. tapi sebagai penggemar Historical Romance saya tidak berapa suka jalan ceritanya dan memang ceritanya tidak melekat di fikiran...

                                                                                                                      to be continued.........
