My Series of Unfortunate Events for 2022

April 2022

As my life evolving, I find myself in the centre of Malaysian Governmental District, Putrajaya. In the bout of Transfer Order frenzy, I am again transferred from KL High Court to Putrajaya. The punch was I was not only transferred within the Judiciary, I was crossed over to the AGC, which is supposed to be for my career advancement and promotion.

This is it, the place where all my peers fears of. I got a few calls of symphathy from those who understands and congratulations for the promotions speech from a few family and friends. That was 3 months ago. 2022 has not been kind to me so far. Athough the Covid situation is now almost over, thank god for that. To start off, I got transferred starting off April 2022, during Ramadhan.

My first bouquet of flowers for Farewell

With my Former Judge that I served YA Dato' Ahmad Bin Bache

There were a lot of things to be considered when you were transferred out of town. See, I live in KL at present. We bought a house under PPAM which is basically a discount housing roject for government servant. I mean, where else in KL could u buy a 1,500 sq ft house for RM 300k? Although at first we have our concerns and fears over buying this house back in 2018 or is it 2019, I think you could do worse in this economy. It has been 2-3 years since we moved from our rented space in Segambut into this apartment pretending to be a condo house that we bought.

Then out of a sudden, I have to work like 30 miles away from home, commuting for about an hour to an hour 1/2 to two hours depending on the traffic for one way. Not to mention the gas and toll consumption per month. I was beginning to believe that this promotion means jack. I have been commuting and have been lost in traffic more than I can count, not to mention the nervous jitters of driving in unknown route and missing an exit to highways..It was a nightmare. My sleep schedule also changes. I used to be able to wake up at 7.00 am and can make it on time before 8.00 am. now I have to wake up way before sunrise in order for me to be ready to leave home by 6.20 a.m so that I will be able to leave office by 4.30 am. The chain reaction and aberration from this timeline will cause me much more time in the traffic and I dont want to bore readers (if anyone had came this far in reading this ranting) in doing the calculations. Safe to say it's imperative for me being able to leave early because KL rush hour is murder!!!

Talking about travelling and car maintenance, after 2 weeks of constant travels, my car decided to break down just days before we are schedule back to Kelantan for hari raya. It just slows down on the road just before I exited into MEX Highway to office. I don't know that I have it in me to be so calm in handling the car trouble, swiftly parking the car on the side of the road with my emergency lights on and calling up the insurance for the car to be towed away. Unwillingness to travel by tow car made me called up my Husband to pick me up at the spot and luckily he made it in time with the tow car and it only took a little time. I also have no mood whatsoever to return to work and had applied for emergency leave. In this respect I was lucky enough to have an understanding Superior and co-workers.

My Hubby waiting for the car to be towed

We raced the tow truck to the workshop. They won though.

Next, the issue of taking leave during my probation period. As provided under Pekeliling Perkhidmatan Sumber Manusia, Im not supposed to apply for leave for more than 5 days because of the promotion. In the event my leave is extended for more than 5 days, it will affect my acting allowance.Which brings me to this predicament. As a lot had happened since that fateful April 2022.

May 2022

Since I was transferred during Ramadhan, I have to reschedule every plan I had made for Raya. We (Husband & I) were not even supposed to go home for Raya this year. We had been considering and reconsidering what to do that coming Raya holidays. Until he got a phone call from his Mom and also the workshop had called with the news that my car is ready to be picked up, and in the last minute we decided to go Home to our hometown after all.

I can barely remember what last Raya was like and here's why... It has been orvershadowed with a tragic accident. You see, we were on our way back to KL after raya, sitting in comfortable silence along the drive until suddenly, a motorcyclist cross our path and since my Husband could not avoid it, collided head on with the mortorcycle. It was a traumatic moment when the motorcyclist's head crased on the car's windshield, cracking it inches from my face, before he was thrown onto the curbside. This happened around noon on May 8th, 2022, in the main road in a small town of Kok Lanas, near a moderately big mini market and a roadside eat shop (too little to be called restaurant, too big to be called a stall) where a lot of locals are hanging around.

My Husband parked the car on the side of the road, we got out of the car and saw the motorcyslist body is laying facedown with his face on the road and barely breathing. The locals have since gathered around the scene, I could hear one or two of the older ones getting aggressive saying that my Husband was driving too fast..some of the younger ones came up to console my Husband who have since panicked saying that it was really not his fault.

I vaguely remembered calling my dad telling him about the accident, my husband called his older brother to come help, then I called the insurance for a tow truck since the front bender of the vehicle is in pieces. Then, we wait. I was driven to the police station by an onlooker on the spot and was told by the Police officer at the Kok Lanas Police Station that I have to report the accident to KB police station. The process took a while, as we go back to the accident site, the motorcyclist's body has been taken by the ambulance and transported to local Hospital. Then, we waited for awhile for the tow truck to come and took the car to the insurance panel's workshop. We haul ass to KB Police Station in Kubang Kerian getting ride from my brother in law. My dad stow away my belongings from the car for safekeeping. It was hectic and by the time it's settled, Im back in KB contemplating my next move. Since it have been nearly 5 days of leave from work, I have to ask for emergency leave to settle the police report and investigation and also oversaw the car repairs.

After 3 days, we heard the news that the motorcyclist, aged 75 years old had passed away resulting from the collision. There was so many questions then that had left us worried. I have to get back to KL because I cannot extend the leave any longer. I managed to go to work for a few weeks until we got called back home for further investigation over the accidents. Turned out the result of the investigation is favourable to my husband since my husband have the dashcam recordings of the said accident..(thank god for little mercies).

The Investigating officer in charge had decided to stop the investigation and taking no further action since the accident was caused by the motorcyclist negligently crossing the main road and there is no liability on my husband's part. However, the past 2 weeks have been the most traumatic event in our lives and I'm so glad we have each other to confide in and give support to. Can you imagine the trauma of hitting somebody (whether it's your fault or not) and in consequence, the person had died from it. Also for the unwarranted guilt. I think my husband still suffers from it from time to time and I hope it will not have a long term effect. Its still traumatic for me even as a passenger during the accident. I’m lucky that the shattered glass from the windshield didn’t lodge in my eyes or causing permanent damage elsewhere. In any respect, we were both lucky to have escaped without a scratch.

We did visit the uncle's widow at their house and my husband keep in contact with the uncle's son. Although it might not bring him back, at least we could make amends and ease their burden even for a bit.

At arwah pakcik's house

June 2022

Suddenly, out of the blue, by the end of June, my dad whatsapped us in the family group, saying that my mom is paralysed and cannot move her feet and arms. She was brought to the hospital and it turns out that her spinal cord was effected after she suffered from a fall in the bathroom. She was given a choice whether to let it be or undergo a spinal cord surgery this September. Our sibling has taken turns to take care of mom and as my dad is not well enough himself to take care of her, we have to take turns.

Get well soon mom

I guess that's it for now, my series of unfortunate events for 2022. I hope to god that nothing else will happen for the remaining of the year and I'm praying hard for my mom's health and recovery. Although a lot has happened in between, I don't feel the need to write it down, suffice only for us to remember.

What I'm up to (2018)

Well many people use blog sphere to journal their life. Me included. I usually suddenly remembers that I have a blog and all of a sudden I'll be retracing my journey through life on this page. I started this blog (looking at my earliest feed) is from year 2009..which is ALMOST 10 years ago. Suddenly I was taken aback by how long I have been writing (although there's ALMOST 2 years gap from 2017 until 2018). It could mean something, it could mean nothing depends on how you look at it. To say that I've been busy with my life for the past 2 years to even write on this blog is an overstatement. However, from my last feed, I did mention something about a T.O (Transfer Order) isn't it? Let's start from there shall we...

I transferred to KL beginning of Ramadhan nearly 2.5 years ago. I remembers that I got the Order a week or two before Ramadhan, and I have to pack my things in Sendayan, Seremban 2 and move to KL. I've got mixed feeling regarding this latest transfer. Half of me is overjoyed to have escaped the workplace in hell but part of me is reluctant to move from Seremban not because I will  miss it's intense heat waves (T_T), but more to unwillingness to once again pack up my life in boxes and move away..AGAIN...

I, however did successfully moved myself and Husband from Seremban 2 to Segambut KL, well within time for me to start in KL. I still remember the first day I arrived at KL Court is on the day the Monthly Roll Call was held. I had help from one of the officer, former colleague of a former colleague to show me around. I had been stationed at Level 1 in the Registry and later, at my request because the phone reception is non-existent down there, move to a newer, bigger office at level 3 where I now permanently located until next transfer.
My new office

It's been a roller coaster ride here in KL Court and I had presently have lunch buddies and now rightfully belongs to an unofficial clique. who would have though, for I once thought this profession is a one way street to loneliness (at least at the workplace)...

Eating buddies

how's it been?

Hullo...

As i'm writing now, i can't help but wonder, how much my life has changed since the last time i typed my last post. for starters, i'm no longer living in Selangor. i had moved (again, sigh.. T_T) to Seremban, Negeri Sembilan due to recent transfer order ...(screw you T.O....)...Although some people might say it's for career advancement..i'm getting really sick of moving houses...1-2 and half years..really?it's pretty boring and tiring not to mention costly. Even the claim doesn't cover all the expenses accrued. they shoulda create allowances for inconvenience that include insurance for damaged furniture and electrical equipment. not to mention disassembling and assembling of astro, various equipments and setting up astro disc. you wouldn't believe how slow the service were and it's usually taking us about a week or two to have everything hooked up and ready...

Another annoying thing is the ever increasing amount of unpacked boxes just waiting to be thrown away or kept for another year or two before the next transfer...

At work is another story...now that I'm being promoted into administrative tasks, it's now fall to my not quite slender shoulder the task of disciplining and administrating the registry. the thing i hate the most in my new job is doing the statistic. not only i found it just a complete waste of time, i also thinks that it takes time away from doing the real work. which is legal work. i really think that they should consider administrative post for somebody with administrative background, say the PTD's officer. i know the bosses really wants officer to be multi tasking, just like our corporate friend's counterparts...but, i mean come on...have you ever take a look at our pay slips?

nuh, enough yakking..i guess this is where i'll be for the next coupla years. just wishing i wont go out of  my mind until my next move is the best i can hope for...till then..sayonara.

Google Translate Happy

here's an amusing tale..about a guy with a very active social network posts...the thing is...most of his posts were in English...now, i have no intention of being some stuck-up grammar police..but note of caution...YOU JUST CANNOT USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE AND POST COMMENTS WITH DIRECT TRANSLATION FROM MALAY TO ENGLISH... here's why:

1- Malay language is not the same as English Language that can be directly translated without changing it's real meaning.

2- People can get confused as to what is it you're  trying to say or may misconstrues your words.

3- You will be a subject of ridicule with many, many people print screening your text and whatsapp-ing your comments...to receive further derogatory comments and ridicule...

4- Instead of impressing people with your linguistic prowess, people will really know how bad your English is..

5- God forbid if your boss should read your posts....(and if they do, you better hope their English is no better than yours)

what you should do:

1- cease using Google translate for social networking purposes...only use Google translator for short sentences or word search (such as the meaning of insidious or bibulous or malapropism etc)

2- brush up your English.

3- read lotsa book...to familiarise with the use of words in different scenarios..or for short cut, watch lotsa movie so that in addition to being familiar with the sentences used, you can also familiarise with the pronunciation of word as well..

Dream Diary

Hello..this is my first post since my laments on 2014...pretty accurate i might say...2015 do bring some good news...I've been on holiday early January, then there's the price drop on oil..that's good, right? i just want to be simpleton for a while and be positive about everything..and count my blessings...

there is however this one thing that keeps recurring..it's the feeling that I should keep a dream diary. i always aspired to be a writer and sometimes I dream up some plot to have it forgotten the next morning..seriously, i really need to keep this dream diary or dream journal by my bedside just in case, because I heard a lot of writers do get their ideas from dreams....i feels very strongly that i am destined to write and be a published writer...(although I already have, but law journals don't count..and i want to write some engaging Saga or some fiction and such)....

and if my story sells, i could well be living like J.K Rowling...just kidding....i guess i should start sharpening my writing skills, who knows someday my dreams will literally be realised....

Last Call 2014

This overcast drizzly morning makes me sleepy. It's time..this is the last call..

As I sit here, typing away, it brings me closer to 2015...2014 have not been kind to me...i desperately waits for 2015...hoping against all hopes that next year will be a better year for me...hell, for all of us...

I've been listening to a lot of people...a lot of them is having a bad 2014. somehow this mysterious universe tendered the same shitty year to a lot of us...let see...a lot of shit happens this year..there was the time i got snatched by snatch-thief, the time when my beloved state is flooded in what could be said as the worst flood since 1970's. lets not forget the attacks on our soil, both by pirates and militants.

But the most controversial is that we lost 3 air planes this year. 2 were still missing and 1 was bombed. somehow i don't think all these were coincidences. or we just have a very, very bad avionic year. felt like 2014 will never end...

ALAS..here we are, at the end of it, and I'm still waiting for 2014 to serve it's pièce de résistance..it's like waiting for another shoe to drop....somehow I don't think it will disappoint....

2015 please come soon...

CLOSED FOR THE YEAR...HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL...

Ramadhan 2014

Assalamualaikum,

a lot had happened in this Ramadhan 2014. Shall we all take time to reflect all the Blessings Allah SWT had bestowed upon us and be thankful that although Malaysia had gone through a tough phase, we still lives in peace and harmony. the trials that came hopefully will bring us together so that we can be a united and peaceful nation.

first off i'm very saddened by the tragedy where MH 17 Malaysian Airlines Aircraft was bombed earlier this week on 17th July 2014. killed lotsa people, i bet by now everybody knows about it. it's so needless. why do you have to go and bomb carrier flight? don't give me shit about mistaken for fighter air plane because i don't buy it. my god..all those innocent people..it's a tragedy, it's a crime against humanity. whoever did this must pay. Malaysia don't need this, after just 3 months of losing MH 370...seriously, one would think there's a conspiracy going on here.

secondly and more locally, about the girl shouting that uncle because of an accident. saw the picture and her car was not even dented, just one scratch, not enough to justify her yelling and smashing the uncle's car bonnet with steering lock. swear to god youth nowadays have no manners.

Also there's also murder and kidnap of police officers by militants on Mabul Island? it's so terrifying. when had our country started to get all this kinda problems. sometimes I pity the PM. people seldom can put their feet into somebody else's shoes particularly the shoes of a leader. people only knows how to complaint but never did nobody any good.

this turns out to be one Ramadhan I'm eager to leave behind, but taking the lessons from it to last a lifetime.

for all the family and friends and loved ones of the MH 17, MH 370 and the Mabul incident, be strong, be brave to fight the storm and have faith. All things happen for a reason and we are with you every step of the way. Insyaallah..

The Wedding Breaker Review

The Wedding BreakerThe Wedding Breaker by Evelyn  Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

i think it's one of my favourite Malay novel to date. kepada typical kaki-Novel, maybe konsep terbuka Novel ni doesn't sit well with them..i'm more receptive with these kind of writing and I LOVE IT....it's a breath of fresh air for Malay Novel...and unlike full blown rape in Kasih Yang Suci, the rape scene in this novel more like malu tapi mahu....(thanks to the Hero's expertise)...but I think readers have to be open minded in reading this novel.

Travel 101: Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia

Cameron Highlands is situated in Pahang, Malaysia. It's one of the more well known Highland in Malaysia. I first went there on my honeymoon, which is quite late for an average Malaysian. Later, I was assigned to work at Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands for 3 months, I get to know the place better and get to see and enjoy the place in off season. I must say, I LOOOVE the place. The weather is cool and fresh. Along the way you could see tea plantation, vegetable and also flower farms. The road leading up there is not that steep and there's a lot of nice view along the roadside. A road trip with partners, family and friends is very encouraged for this trip. it's a place for everybody.

Getting There

The only way to the Highlands is by road. You could either start from Perak (Ipoh) to the junction at Tapah or Simpang Pulai, from Kuala Lumpur to the junction at Sungai Koyan or at Gua Musang (through Karak, Bentong, Raub and G.Musang). Those from Kelantan can take the route from Gua Musang. The standard time getting there from KL (steady driving people, not too slow and not too fast, with no long stop in between) is about 3 and 1/2 hours to 4 hours. The duration from Gua Musang (Jalan Lojing) takes about 1 and 1/2 hours and from the intersection.

Places to Stay

I must warn you my trip to Cameron are claimable so I don't have to travel with tight budget :)

As I tried different Hotels and Guest houses in Cameron Highlands, I have my own favourite ones such as:-

1.Century Pines Resort (usual rate between RM 150-300) - as it is situated just opposite the courthouse where i work, it's the best place to stay. Also lots of drama production like to film their scene there. So you just might run into a filming scene whilst you stay there. I did. They were shooting the drama Adam dan Hawa there although I didn't know the actress then, my Hubby asked the cameraman and he said so.

2. If in case Century Pines is not available, I stayed at Heritage Hotel Cameron Highland (usual rate RM 200-300)

3. Planter's Hotel (last resort) (usual rate RM 150-200)

All these hotels are situated in Tanah Rata, one of the main city there. I never stay in Brinchang although it's closer to the farms and night market because it's unfortunately noisier. If you stay in Tanah Rata you'll definitely have a more relaxed holiday and get more peaceful night sleep.

These hotel rates will be doubled or tripled during school or general holidays so better make your bookings early and avoid the school holidays period if it can be avoided (i.e. if you're not a student or you don't have any school kids yet or not a teacher, I don't see any reason why you have to go to holiday on school holidays)..trust me, all rates in all attractions will increase dramatically, it's ridiculous. Although the Night Market will be held everyday on school holidays instead of every Saturday Night on normal days.

Attractions

The main attraction here is the cool weather, cactuses and strawberries and flowers. The usual things in the Highlands. There's a lot of Strawberry Farms you can visit and they are just off the main road. You can also book the tour from Tanah Rata. The foreigners usually like to take jungle trail in Gunung Brinchang and that kinda stuff. I don't use tour agency so we just go off as we'd like with help from locals. You can check out the Agro Technology Park in MARDI where they plants different types of veggies and flowers and the sell them for a steal. There's also The Rose Valley in Tringkap where it's more like rose nursery and you get to see those pretty flowers in full bloom. But you must not miss the tea plantations. The more prominent one is Boh Tea Plantation in Brinchang and Bharat Tea Plantation easily accessible just off the main road. You only have to take guide during trekking and trailing jungles, for visiting purpose you could just drive around in Brinchang and Tanah Rata because there's where the attractions are.

Necessities

You don't have to worry if you leave anything behind because there's no shortage of shops and convenience stores up there. It's rate is not that high, just average and the place is not that backward although they may seem a little disconnected with people from down below :)

Food

In Tanah Rata, there's food court on the main street with standard parking space and the foods are edible (not mind blowing though)..but I bet the weather will help with your appetites and as you become hungry, the food will taste better :) and in Cameron Highlands is well known for the Steamboat dish but for some reason or other, they elude me..hmm..Also there's food sold in the Night Market in Brinchang. They tastes OK. (p/s: In Ramadhan, the restaurants usually stayed closed and near breaking fast or in the evening there will be Pasar Ramadhan or Ramadhan Bazaar held in Brinchang.)

What's Bugging Me?

Well I like to put things in easy to comprehend list so when I try to sort out through this jumbled mess I call my Mind, I can sort of figure out this mess from another, like sorting through laundry from the whites and coloured ones, those needed to be pressed and those needed to be hanged...to make up for my lack of mind-mapping skill, I found using phone applications such as Color Note which is always helpful... there are thousands of different things nagging in my head but these few things are really bugging me:-

1- the kids morals today? seriously? 12 years old girl can give consent to sex? what's wrong with this world..(i just finished hearing a juvenile under age statutory rape cases and it really, really pisses me off.. ) ada yang consensual and ada yang paksa rela...seriously how could the child of 12 y/o have enough sense to give consent to having intercourse...? although i cannot judge the moral of 12 y/o nowadays to my standard of 12 y/o from my youth, still the thought that a child can be wholly corrupted by early exposure to the Big Bad World..is unthinkable..what will happen to our future generation?the thing that will inevitably follow suit will be the world is filled with people with no moral upstanding whatsoever and no sense of right and wrong, because for them  "It's Their Right.... "

2- the ever increasing land and property value...how can I ever afford to live comfortably when all I do is sinking myself in more and more debt...? not everyone is born lucky with rich parents/family to support them, if needed...not that i expect a handover from my folks or anything but, what hope can a fixed income worker have in this economy?all we can do is just to  get by, month by dismal month...

3- credit cards payments...ugh! 'nuff said...

4- buat i/c baru...the old one was at least 10 y/o dah...it's in pretty bad shape and the chips don't seem to be working anymore...a drag for bank's transaction...but i never find the time (..and/or inclination to go to JPN)

5- to have an organised household chore system :( (i just probably need to get a bit more enthusiastic about chore...i do have moods for them.. :) )

6- stupid parking...

that's all...do i need to contemplate more on doing or do i have to Just Do It?

Final Week of Fasting 2013

it's about time...i was lazy lately to write anything..something that got to do with fasting and sleepy and etc...hehe...this is my first year fasting in Selayang...i don't think it's bad, but i don't think it's that great either...then last week i went back to Bentong to...how do you say it...is it break fast? or breaking fast? ..nevermind ..u get my point...to buka puasa...and i seriously get all reminiscence and everything...it's nice to go back there..where i knew people and they knew me, and going to familiar places...although i\ve been there for just over a year...but i guess i adapted to life there...even my hubby misses it there...not as much as he misses Kota Bharu though...

times like these (about the final week of fasting), that i really am homesick...i found myself searching for my home on google  maps, imagining arriving there already, minus the 7-8hrs tiring journey and being with my family...man, it's been a long time since i gone home...i think the last time was on CNY? that's in February...more'n 5 moths passed...ok so i'll stop whining just about now and attend to my duties...

EDITS:- last time i went back was on June or is it May Election?...OMG I only think 5 months passed, but really it's only been 2 months over...i should probably stay in Selayang more....

Bonus Oh Bonus Raya...

Hi all,

Cakap pasal bonus semua orang mesti senyum gembira...tapi kali ni lain pulak ceritanya..semalam saya tengok berita PM kita cakap bonus raya kakitangan awam masih dalam pertimbangan...seriously? kita dah puasa dekat 2 minggu dah tapi masih dalam pertimbangan? kalau macam ni la gayanya kemungkinan besar takde rezeki la kut penjawat awam nak merasa bonus raya bagi tahun 2013 ni..

Sedih dan kecewa pun ada, walaupun bonus raya ni bukanlah wajib, tapi sekurang-kurangnya kalau ada bantuan ni dapatlah mengurangkan beban belanja untuk raya..dah nama nak raya mesti ada persiapan kena buat, tak besar-besaran, buat secara ala kadar. kami ni walaupun nama pegawai sekalipun, bukan gaji macam menteri-menteri..mungkin sebab tu pemimpin-pemimpin kita takleh faham kesusahan dan kesempitan kita...zaman diorang muda dulu mungkin RM 10 tu dah boleh beli macam-macam...kalau zaman sekarang, 1-2 barang dah RM10...kalau setakat pendapatan isi rumah RM3000-RM4000 tu duduk kat KL atau pinggir KL, saya kira masih tergolong dalam golongan miskin bandar...kami bukan gaji puluh-puluh ribu...

Semakin kos hidup meningkat, semakin terasa sekiranya pegawai-pegawai kerajaan (tak tahu lah jabatan saya je ke, semua jabatan lain pun sama) ni diabaikan kebajikannya...sudahlah ditransfer selang setahun, claim bukan main susah nak approve (siap tak percaya my hubby ikut pindah), pastu tak sediakan kuarters pulak tu (kelam kabut cari rumah sewa dalam masa seminggu)...bukan nak cakap tak bersyukur ada peluang naik pangkat, tapi rasa macam tak boleh nak settle down kat mana-mana..kami pun ada jugak rasa nak duduk dengan tenang kat satu-satu tempat tanpa hidup dalam kelam-kabut dan tak secure apabila kami bila-bila masa sahaja boleh ditukarkan ke sana sini...nak beli rumah pun berbelah-bahagi...and walaupun boleh claim pindah, betapa penatnya proses berpindah selang setahun tuhan je yang tahu...kalau tak ada orang tolong boleh pengsan...

Tapi apepun, dah off topic...i dont think people want to read my endless rambling :) on a brighter note..HERE'S HOPING DUE CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN BY PM'S GOVT TO APPROVE THIS RAYA AIDILFITRI'S 2013 BONUS TO BE GIVEN TO THE GOVT SERVANTS WHO HAD SERVE THE PUBLIC SELFLESSLY AND WITH DEDICATION. TQ

P/S: tiada niat/male fide untuk memalukan mana-mana pihak cuma ingin berkongsi dilema yang dialami..

Fingers Crossed :)

The House Hunt...

OMG..I cannot believe how hard it is to find a decent house in Selayang that is within my price range...I started with below 150k, then up my range to 200k, but still cannot find a suitable house in that range...most of two storey/townhouses average about 300k to 700k...I didn't include apartments on my original search list, but looking at the rate this search is going I might have to include apartments into consideration...

Seriously, why is everything so expensive...? and the government housing projects only focus to those wages below 3k/month...there are lots of 'poor urbans' that have only slightly higher average income and still struggling to make end meets...what with the PTPTN loans and various other loans to stay afloat in the Klang Valley...even apartment rent are high these days...i had to fork out about RM750 for rent monthly and we're talking about moderate budget apartment, not some upscale apartment...

When people advised me to look for property in Rawang, I initially fall in with the idea and had searched and viewed several property there, but along the way I realised it is a bit far from the office and I'm not the  kind of person that can make half hour to 45mins journey to and fro everyday...so I balked...and haven't made any decisions until today..And I viewed several properties in Selayang that are within my price range only to find that the properties had deteriorated and need a lot of restoration, although it's a great investment piece, I actually need a home to live in, not just for investment.

so today, i have another viewing, this time for apartment unit as I strive to broaden my horizon and embrace the fact that for now, I don't have another option but to close my eyes and decide....

Killing Time

Alright then,

I have an hour left before punching out for the day...although there's millions of stuff screaming for attention on my desk, i just sigh and procrastinate, again...(OMG i hope my boss doesn't read blogs)...

my desk view..sigh...

hmm...usually i play online games, but i try to cut down the hour after noticing it's detrimental to my wallet or more aptly, to my credit cards...sure the games are addictive and you wouldn't even spend a cent..except that...the add-ons are really TEMPTING....damn...if u want a more economy-saving game, try sudoku in the newspaper...

updating my handphone is a fun way to kill time, although sometimes the internet charges will be through the roof. as if i'm being ripped off, but that doesn't happen after i set a limit...then i'll have a reason to yell at them if i ever exceeded limit without noticing..although i rarely yell at people...except to my other half... :P

other avenues are surfing the net, mainly chatting with my friends on FB, searching/window shopping for cars and properties on mudah.com.my and iproperty.com and online clothing store although, i tend to steer clear from wardrobe shopping for these past month after realising there's packages arriving for me every other day..the thing is the packages arrives at the office. :D

after all these times i shied away from blogging, now it has becoming one of my favourite time-killing app :) not only it helps with the time-killing, but it also alleviate stress, nerves and anxiety by sharing my thoughts and my pandering with rest of the world. Although nobody might ever read my writings for all i know, but hey, doesn't matter...as long as i have fun, right?...

Kemeriahan Ramadhan

Hai Kawan-kawan and Readers,

Emas dan Perak Cantik Ditempa,
Disulam Pula Dengan Suasa,
Bulan Ramadhan Sudah Menjelma,
Menahan Lapar Adat Berpuasa.

Dah masuk bulan puasa ni, terasa kemeriahannya bila tiba waktu nak berbuka.

Lepas tu balik la berbuka puasa berdua kat rumah. Sedih je buka puasa berdua.(tapi 2 is better than 1 kan? :D) Teringat kalau buka puasa kat rumah ma. Time adik beradik semua duduk rumah lagi. Kami 7 beradik, jadi dapat bayangkan la betapa riuhnya time berkumpul. Tapi walaupun 7 beradik, dalam satu-satu masa cuma ada 3 ke 4 orang je (tak termasuk ma ngan abah la). Jarang la tujuh-tujuh orang ada kat rumah sekaligus, kecuali musim raya masa semua belum kawin jela...Lepas semua dah besar ni, kadang-kadang raya pun tak sempat jumpa. Kekadang bertanya kabar kat FB je.

Ni yang rasa nak balik Kelate ni...berbalik kepada isu kemeriahan bulan puasa, takleh lari la dari cerita tentang makanan...heheheee..favourite ni...sebab kita dah sehari menahan nafsu makan, akan jadi excited la time nak beli makanan buka puasa. Kalau yang jenis wasatiah tu, mungkin mampu menahan nafsu membeli makanan buka puasa berlebihan. tapi bulan puasa ni memang mencabar keimanan la. dengan ayam percik nya, dengan pelbagai lauk pauk, nasi briyani dan tak lupa, ayam golek. tu tak sebut dessert lagi...kalau kat kelantan ...dengan jala mas nya, bunga tanjung nya, puding caramel nya (skrg ni dah pandai buat sendiri...yeay!)...arghhh..dah terbayang semua di depan mata..MANA AKU NAK CARI JALA MAS KAT SELAYANG NI?....

Selalunya my mom akan masak special-special time buka puasa. tu part paling seronok..my favourite is ikan terubuk bakar!! wawawawaa...walaupun ikan ni banyak tulang dan terhegeh-hegeh kalau nak makan, adus sedapnya...makan ngan kicap+bawang perah limau nipis lagi sedap...kalau makan ikan terubuk ni terseksa betul time nak sahur la..ngan mengantuk-mengantuk tu, nak belek isi ikan buang tulang...hehehe...nasib tak baik boleh tercekik...

aaahhh..ajak my hubby balik kelate jugakla hujung minggu ni....owh..and by the way THE RED WARRIORS MENANG PIALA FA!WOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!
